Every kilogram of polypropylene (PP) we recycle locally prevents approximately 2.75 kg of CO₂-equivalent emissions compared to importing virgin material.
That impact comes from three measurable sources:
Avoided virgin resin production
Manufacturing new polypropylene from fossil fuels generates approximately 2.5 kg CO₂e per kg.Avoided international transport emissions
Importing virgin polymer adds roughly 0.25 kg CO₂e per kg through shipping and logistics.Efficient local mechanical recycling
